Border Highlands Christmas Fundraiser and Visit to Kershope Highland Ponies

Border Highlands are delighted to be able to add to their calendar of events for 2018, a visit to Shirley Clarke and her Kershope Ponies. The day promises to be fun, informative and Highland Pony filled and a great get together just before Christmas. The event is open to all, not just Border Highlands members, and it would be great to see lots of faces, friends new and old.
Additionally the day will also be a fund raiser for the Equine Grass Sickness Fund and therefore lunch will be at £10 per head with all proceeds going to EGSF. We will also be hosting a raffle, Christmas Jumper Competition and a few other festive frivolities.
Programme of events:
10.30am Arrival and Refreshments
11.00am ‘Feeding the Youngster and the effects of over feeding on its later life’ Talk and Questions - Fiona Dalgliesh MRCVS
12.15pm Fundraising Lunch (£10pp proceeds to Equine Grass Sickness Fund) Raffle and competition for the Best Christmas Jumper (not compulsory!)
1.15pm Highland Pony Masterclass with John Dykes
1.45pm Fun Stock Judging Competition
3.30pm approx. Departure
Directions to Williamwood – From the North and South, leave the M74 at Junction 20 signed for Eaglesfield & Annan. Take the road from the roundabouts signposted for Brydkirk & Annan. After 50 yards take the next right signposted for Brydkirk. Continue along this road for approx 2 miles and Williamwood is on your left just before you go down the hill. Parking within the farm will be signposted.
From the West – Leave the A75 at the left hand turn signposted for Eaglesfield. Follow that road, straight over at the cross roads and through the village of Brydkirk. Continue up the hill and at he top Williamwood will be on your right hand side. Parking within the farm will be signposted.
